Practice

del Renzio & del Renzio is an RIBA Chartered Practice based in Ramsgate, Kent, founded in 2014 by brothers Ivan and Pier-Luigi del Renzio.

We create thoughtful architecture tailored to the individual needs of our clients and the unique context of every project. Our work spans heritage and listed buildings, carefully considered renovations and extensions, contemporary new homes, adaptive reuse and medium-scale residential developments. Alongside architecture, we also undertake interior design, landscape design and selected public realm and artistic collaborations.

Working predominantly across Kent, London and the South East, we collaborate with private homeowners, developers, community organisations and commercial clients who value design quality, technical expertise and a personal approach.

Whether conserving an important historic building or designing something entirely new, we seek a balance between respecting what already exists and creating architecture that meets the needs of contemporary life. Sustainability is considered throughout our work - not as an add-on, but as part of designing buildings that are durable, adaptable and enjoyable for generations.

Our Approach

Every project begins by understanding the building, its setting and the aspirations of our client. We tailor our service to suit both domestic and commercial clients, recognising that every project has its own ambitions, constraints and opportunities.

We are not defined by a single architectural style, instead allowing each project, its context and our client’s aspirations to shape the design - together.

As a Chartered Practice, we combine creative thinking with technical rigour, guiding projects from initial feasibility through planning, technical design and construction. We enjoy working with clients who value quality, craftsmanship and long-term thinking, delivering architecture that is both distinctive and practical.

Beyond Architecture

Architecture rarely exists in isolation. Alongside our professional work, we actively engage with the cultural, educational and civic life of our communities, believing that architecture is enriched by a wider appreciation of art, design and craftsmanship.

As longstanding Corporate Patrons of Tate and Turner Contemporary, together with our active membership of the Chelsea Arts Club, we maintain close links with the visual arts and contemporary creative practice. These relationships, alongside our involvement in exhibitions, public art collaborations and community initiatives, continue to inform our understanding of materiality, composition, craftsmanship and the cultural context in which buildings are experienced.

Whether working on the restoration of a listed building or designing a contemporary home, we believe architecture should make a lasting and positive contribution to both people and place. Our wider cultural interests help shape our approach and often provide a shared point of reference with clients who value thoughtful architecture, design and the creative arts.
